The Perfect Croatia Yacht Charter Itinerary - 8 days

We present you the perfect itinerary to sail from Split to Dubrovnik in 8 days and discover the most magical places in Croatia.

Day 1: SPLIT - SIBENIK

After boarding in Split and getting to know your yacht, it's time to set sail for Šibenik, hidden from the open sea in the picturesque and wide bay on the Krka river's sunken estuary. The most known and essential monument of European architecture is the Cathedral of St. James from the 15th and 16th centuries. 

Day 2: KORNATI ISLANDS

The Kornati Islands are a true paradise with a lunar-like beauty. Its rocks combined with turquoise water and olive groves form a unique environment worth seeing. The crystal clear waters make swimming irresistible. 

Day 3: HVAR

We suggest a stop for lunch on board at the beautiful Blue Lagoon. From there, we continue south towards Hvar. It is almost impossible to get a berth at the town's pier, so our advice is that if you want to tour the town of Hvar, is to moor the yacht at the Palmiziana marina and hop on a water taxi to Hvar. If you want more peace and quiet, you can choose your own secluded bay on the Pakleni islands just to the west. It's not hard to see why it's known as the San Tropez of the eastern Mediterranean. Along the promenade, beautiful Venetian architecture, trendy bars and cafes abound, lending an undeniably glamorous atmosphere.

Day 4: VIS

Today begins with a short sail south to the island of Vis. The town of Vis is located in the far northeast and is the oldest settlement in Dalmatia, established in 397 BC as a base for the Greek colonisation of the Adriatic Sea. More recently, the entire island was a military base, so it has only relatively recently been opened to tourism. The town of Vis is becoming increasingly popular with tourists, but has still managed to retain its old-world charm.

Day 5: VELA LUKA - LASTOVSKO

Today we head towards Croatia's largest town, Vela Luka, with a vibrant town quay on the west coast of the island of Korcula. Here we find many beautiful coves and bays ideal for anchoring. The town, although large, still has plenty of character and charm and has an excellent selection of restaurants and shops close to the quayside. 

Day 6: KORCULA

We head north to the eastern coast of the Korcula islands, to the town itself. One of the Adriatic's most famous towns, Korcula is believed to be the birthplace of legendary explorer Marco Polo. The glorious old town is home to cobbled streets and Renaissance architecture within medieval walls. Stroll around the beautiful church in the centre, where there are many restaurants serving top quality local cuisine. 

Day 7: MLJET

According to legend, Odysseus was so impressed by the breathtaking beauty of Mljet National Park that the wandering hero stayed for seven years. With its green pine forests, warm saltwater lakes and abundant aquatic life, Mljet is one of Croatia's most beautiful islands. Polace is an excellent natural harbour on the northern coast of Mljet, known for its ancient seafront ruins. A 5th century Roman palace dominates the town, hence the name "Polace". The village is home to a number of nice quayside restaurants, perfect for enjoying the surrounding islands, and is a 40-minute walk from the famous lakes.

Day 7: DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's most visited and famous cities. In the 15th century, Dubrovnik rivalled the power and wealth of Venice, which attracted the world's finest architects, artists and sculptors. As a result, Dubrovnik's impressive medieval walls are home to a magnificent hodgepodge of Gothic, Romanesque and Baroque churches, palaces and monasteries, beautifully complemented by fountains and Renaissance facades, all set above glittering marble streets. It is a truly magical place.
